9-Star Qi 3-5-3 Examples

1st. Patient : Female 3 - 5 - 3 ( LIV - SP / ST - LIV)

Main complaint: Low back pain across the hips can hardly walk with it, continuous ache back of the knees, migraines with loss of partial vision with pain back of head and temples, very stiff neck restricted movement.

Other complaints: light headed Last 6 months, indigestion , bloatedness, changeable bowels, big toes are numb. Oedema in ankles much worse with headaches. Nails soft and rip,short of breath,general lethargy. A painful tooth at the moment. Hot flushes.

Back problems for the last 23 yrs, painful periods for a long time, endomitriosis led to a hysterectomy 6 yrs back. Abortion at 18 yrs old. Has taken excessive amounts of antibiotics for many past chest infections, cystitis and dental problems.

A complex picture with the patient exhibiting symptoms in all 3 organ / meridian systems. I did get confused as to the C.F. to start with, however, with so many problems the patient improved never the less, but it wasn't until I exclusively focused on the C.F. that the patient truly moved forward, both in physical health and emotional and mental solidity. In terms of C.S.O.E I was seeing primarily a distressed Earth Element.

Tx1. Sed. SP-9, (ton)ST-12, ST-45, ST-30,ST,42 feel more relaxed and solid in self.
TX.2 reported teeth pain has gone, legs don't feel as heavy, back pain not as tense, felt exhausted after Tx. every part of body ached for a day.

Symptoms to do with the ST meridian went / improved but I wasn't convinced, for a few session I explored the LIV and the SP again I got a mixture of improvements and set backs. So I went for the T.C.M. approach still focussing on her back.

TX. 6 Sed. BL-49(r), BL-62(r), DU-26, H-7(r) BL-10 Reports: feel more relaxed.

Tx7 reported : back a lot better but not as energetic as I used to be in the morning,tension in back of neck is gone, lips still dry but better, pins and needles insides of big toes, dizziness like I will pass out whilst lying down, hot flushes.

Even BL-62(r) Lu-7(l), Sed. SP-9(l), BL-22, Ton. Du-12, Du-4, KI-6, KI-7. Feel much more awake

Tx.8 Reported: Back is good, I feel happy, However Flushes really bad, bowels changeable, toes still numb, and feel very tired. Now I could clearly perceive The imbalanced Liver Official.

For the succeeding 6 treatments I have focussed on the Ton. LIV- meridian + Bl-42,18,17. and she has gone from strength to strength. Her migraines have now become very rare, her neck is much looser. Her work mates have commented that she stands up for herself in a way that she didn't use to. She feels strong and able to cope. Still the occasional swelling and hot flushes, which in my opinion are linked to the total hysterectomy of 6 yrs previous.

I have frequently observed that abortions are subject to a maelstrom of emotions, most of which are to painful to feel at the time. It is my belief that these suppressed emotions, in a proportion of women, lead to subsequent physical problems in their reproductive system. I am not moralising or judging, but acknowledging the importance, that to help bring these women back to health, one needs to be aware of and make room for these feelings to resurface.
